Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and Alfred Sant, Labour Head of Delegation at the European Parliament are expected to give their respective reactions to the latest developments at the European Parliament in a joint activity marking Alfred Sant’s official launch for the forthcoming elections of the European Parliament which will be held in Malta and Gozo on 25 May 2019.

This will be the first instance when the Prime Minister and the Labour Head of Delegation at the European Parliament will both appear together in a public activity after the European Parliament deplored what it termed as ‘serious shortcomings in the rule of law in Malta’ and also approved a ‘tax haven’ resolution critical of Malta.

This activity will be held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, Valletta on Friday, 5 April 2019, starting at 7pm. A reception will follow.
