Subject: Export values for EU island regions and ‘Objective 1’ regions

Question(s)
Can the Commission say what was the annual value of exports per 1 000 inhabitants from each of the EU island regions at NUTS levels 2 and 3 from 2004 to 2013?
What was the same value for ‘Objective 1’ regions as a whole?

Answer given by Ms Thyssen on behalf of the Commission

The Commission does not have statistics at this level of detail in order to reply to the Honourable Member’s question. The EU legislation currently in force does not foresee data collection of exports at regional level.
