Subject: Follow-up to Written Question P-004140/16 on the European Parliament resolution of 4th February 2016 on the special situation of islands (Part One).

With reference to the answer given to Parliamentary Question No P-004140/2016 regarding the European Parliament resolution of 4th February 2016 on the special situation of islands, can the Commission state:

– which islands are classified part of less developed regions and are benefiting from the most favourable status of support?

– what are the specific programmes or strategies targeted to each of these islands?

– how these programmes and strategies are being implemented in each case?

Also with reference to the answer given to Parliamentary Question No P-004140/2016 regarding the European Parliament resolution of 4th February 2016 on the special situation of islands, and in addition to the first set of follow-up questions, can the Commission state:

– whether these programmes and strategies are time-framed and costed in each case – giving timeframes and costs;

– which data and analysis have been developed to date concerning these islands; and

– whether there are any specific programmes and strategies for less developed islands that do not form part of less developed regions?
